With greater awareness regarding the impacts of vehicle emissions on climate change and increasing desire to combat the obesity issue by encouraging a more active community, the challenge for Local Government is to be able to ‘retro-fit’ these established areas to provide sustainable and active transport options across the entire network, with limited budgets and other constraints.
