2019 Overseas Study Tour
MEF Victoria selected three public works professionals to participate in an overseas study tour scholarship to the United States of America and Canada to travel in a group tour of up to three weeks and to attend the APWA International Public Works Congress & Exhibition (PWX) in Seattle, Washington USA from 8th to 11th September 2019. The selected participants were –
Kurt Pitts, Coordinator Roads & Infrastructure, Manningham City Council Report – Smart Cities-Smart Maintenance & Asset Management of Key Infrastructure – Kurt Pitts
Lachlan Johnson, Manager Maintenance & Operations, Port Phillip City Council Report – Technological Innovation in Local Government – Lachlan Johnson
Tony McGann, General Manager Infrastructure and Leisure Services, Colac-Otway Shire Council. Report – Hard Decisions Easier – Tony McGann
Each participant has provided a report on their topic of study whilst overseas. These reports are published against their names above.
2018 Overseas Study Tour Scholarship
The study tour recipients undertook a study tour to USA and Canada during which they attended the APWA International Public Works Congress & Exhibition (PWX) in Kansas City, Missouri from 26th to 29th August 2018.
The tour group were –
